A delegation from the World Federation of Journalists and Travel Writers (FIJET) Sunday interviewed Hong Hao, director of the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination, over preparations for the 2010 Expo.

Members raised questions about the Expo's performance schedule, accommodation plans, security measures and customs clearance, among other topics.
Hong told delegation members that preparation is running smoothly as site construction and operation preparation are well on track. So far, 242 countries and international organizations have confirmed participation, setting a record in the event's history.
He welcomed the delegation's visit to promote the event and its concept to the whole world. He invited reporters to the Expo with their family members and friends to experience the charm of diversified cultures and explore the city's role in a better life.
Reporters also toured the exhibition hall presenting the Expo's master plan, as well as the fair site.
FIJET reporters from the United States, Russia, Canada, Belgium and Mexico among other countries gathered in Shanghai for an annual conference from October 9 to 15.
FIJET, founded in Paris, France in 1954, is a non-profit and non-governmental organization. It is headquartered in Prague, Czech Republic.
