An international hotel and building material expo will open in Shanghai on March 29.
The four-day event, covering an area of 150,000 square meters, consists of four shows -- Expo Build, Hotelex Shanghai, China Clean Expo and Expo Light.
More than 2,000 businesses from home and abroad are expected to display new products and technologies.
"The expo will be a stimulus to China's hotel and building material industries thanks to its new technologies and design," said Wang Mingliang, executive director of UBM Sinoexpo.
Over 80,000 visitors will go to the shows to purchase exhibits valued at an estimated 1 billion yuan, Wang said.
China's industry of building materials and hotel facilities, which has been growing up quickly these years, "has a great potential to tap," he said, adding that its output value is estimated to reach 1 trillion yuan this year.
