SEOUL - South Korean President Lee Myung- bak will pay a visit to China on April 30 and May 1 to attend the opening ceremony of the World Expo 2010 in Shanghai, the presidential office Cheong Wa Dae said in a press release on Sunday.
The president is scheduled to attend a welcome banquet to be hosted by his Chinese counterpart Hu Jintao and the opening ceremony of the Shanghai Expo, take part in the inauguration of the South Korean Pavilion, and also visit South Korea's Enterprises Joint Pavilion and China Pavilion, according to Cheong Wa Dae.
Lee will also meet with Hu Jintao to exchange views on developing the strategic cooperative partnership between the two countries and other issues of common concern such as regional situation, it said.
