SHANGHAI - The Shanghai Corporate Pavilion "Dream Cube," which represents the true spirit of ctiy's corporate community, today hosted a grand "Pavilion Day" celebration in the corporate pavilion area of Puxi Expo Park, becoming one of the first such ceremonies since the opening of Shanghai World Expo.
More than 500 Guests, including Han Zheng, Mayor of Shanghai people's Municipal Government, Liu Yungeng, director-General of the Standing Committee of Shanghai People's Congress attended the celebration, and marveled at the splendid "Pavilion Day" performance and dazzling LED lighting show that illuminated the "Dream Cube".
All visitors experienced the dramatic moment of the "Dream Cube Awakening" by listening to the Dream Cube's "heart beat" synchronized to the familiar background music of "Let's paddle together," "Butterfly Lovers," and "We are powerful workers."
An 8-minute LED lighting show propelled the Dream Cube celebration to its climax. Season-changing lighting effects generated by over 15,000 LED lights, 100 spotlights, 100 UV lights, 75 PC mobile lights, 24 7 –kilowatt searchlights and 75 flash lights were supported by 450 high-power speakers to create a fantastic ambience for the entire Dream Cube, creating an amazing visual and auditory spectacle.
Among the performances brought to life in the Dream Cube is the role of "Professor Butterfly," incarnated by well-known director and actress Xu Jinglei, who also appeared at the "Pavilion Day" celebration together with two other actors.
The Shanghai Corporate Pavilion is co-financed by more than 30 large and medium-sized state-owned enterprises under the State-owned Asset Supervision and Administration Commission of Shanghai Municipal Government, covering an area of approximately 4,000 square meters in Zone D of Puxi section of Expo Garden. The construction of the "Dream Cube" highlighted a wide variety of leading technologies with respect to energy saving, environment protection, new energy and processes, and invited worldwide forward-thinking architects, interactive media designers, cultural planners and writers, film and visual artists, environmental protectors and innovative talents to jointly achieve an exciting content presentation and interactive experience, forming a unique attraction to all visitors.
