A performance marking the two-year countdown to Expo 2012 was staged in Asia Square at Expo site in Shanghai yesterday.
A troupe from Republic of Korea offered a dancing and drumming performance and the Expo 2012 organizer invited Chinese audiences to visit the fair in South Korea.
The Expo 2012's mascots Yeony and Suny were unveiled during the performance.
The Expo 2012 will be hosted in Yeosu, Republic of Korea from May 12 in 2012 and its theme is "The Living Ocean and Coast" which will focus on preservation of ocean and sea, top creative technologies as well as the harmonious coexistence of human and oceans.
