The Joint-Africa Pavilion received 922,267 visitors by 10:30 pm Monday, and is ready to welcome the millionth on Wednesday.
The lucky visitor will very probably appear tomorrow morning, according to staff. He or she will be presented with an honor pin and other gifts and be able to see the treasure of the pavilion - a 1-metre long gold-plated scepter.
The pavilion uses the "rotating director" system. All the 42 countries and the African Union in the pavilion will dispatch an official as the pavilion's rotating director. The scepter represents the power of the rotating director.
