Both King Carl XVI and Deputy Prime Minister Maud Olofsson will attend the event.
As one of Scandinavia's most successful solo dancers, Pahkine studied classical music and figure skating before she decided to focus on dancing.
Virpi Pahkinen grew up in central Finland and plans to perform at Dansens Hus (the main dance hall in Stockholm) and take her show on the road to China, Ecuador, Vietnam and the rest of Europe this year.
Sofia Jannok comes from the north of Sweden. She has been singing her whole life and stepped onto the stage when she was 11 years old. She has toured throughout Europe as well as in the Far East.
Later in the day between 6:30 pm and 9 pm at the Sweden pavilion, a unique collaboration between a group of Chinese dancers from Jin Xing Dance Theatre and some of Sweden's best fashion designers will be presented.
Born in 1967 in Liaoning province, Jin Xing is a ballerina, modern dancer, choreographer and actress, and also the owner of the contemporary dance company Jin Xing Dance Theatre.
She is one of the first few trans women officially recognized by the Chinese government.
They will give the audience a fashion dance performance where 15 dancers, wearing clothes from top designers such as Ann Sofie Back, Sandra Backlund, Martin Bergstrom, Nakkna, Diana Orving and Goran Sundberg, will put on a show with music composed by famous Swedish artists Andreas Kleerup and Andreas Unge.
