A promotion conference was held at Rwanda national pavilion day on Saturday in order to attract investors to this east African country.

The bilateral trade between China and Rwanda grew from 2005's US$24million to 2009's US$100million, said Rwanda Prime Minister Bernard Makuza.

China has become an important investor in Rwanda and the Expo 2010 is seen as an important opportunity to attract investment, Makuza added.

Rwanda officials briefed guests on the country's basic information and investment potentials.

Lu Qingcheng, vice president of China-Africa Development Fund, Wang Yufu, vice chairman of Zhejiang sub-council of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Han Bo, international operation head of South-South Global Assets and Technology Exchange System shared their experience of business cooperation in Africa.

The Rwanda Pavilion with the theme "Kigali City: Heart of Rwanda's Economic Prosperity of the Nation Reborn" locates at Joint-Africa Pavilion. The nation's pavilion exhibits its achievements over the past 15 years. Specialties such as tea, coffee and handicrafts are also on display.
