Blood donation during July to September may offer you free tickets to the Shanghai World Expo, the Beijing Daily reported today.
The Beijing Red Cross Blood Center will offer blood donators chances to gain tickets to the Expo, National Theater, the Water Cube and free cinema during this July through September, according to the report.
The capital city recently launched a "Red Summer" blood donation campaign as it is facing a 10 percent gap in blood supply as the blood donation off-season comes.
"Ninety-five percent of medical-use blood is taken from the streets. But now as college students leave for summer and people walk outdoors less due to the hot weather, we are in lack of blood donation," said Liu Jiang, chief of center.
