The number of Expo visitors is up again following a drop in temperature this week. A total of 416,900 visitors entered the Expo site on Tuesday by 7pm August 10, compared with 391,800 on Monday.
Among Monday's visitors, 114,000 came in tour groups and 54,719 were local residents using complimentary tickets offered by the Shanghai government. A total of 69,167 tickets were sold at the gates, 26,070 of them for evening visit.
As of 6pm, 75,000 visitors had passed through Houtan entrance, compared with 63,000 at Shangnan Road entrance, 63,000 at Changqing Road entrance and 55,000 at Gaoke Road entrance.
There were 91 stage shows at Expo venues from morning to 5pm Monday, attracting 54,000 spectators. Some 5,628 volunteers worked on the site.
The five on-site clinics treated 425 visitors on Monday by 4pm.
The Expo Organizer expects some 110,000 group visitors on August 11, 2010.
