LANZHOU - Traffic reconstruction of the massive mudslides-hit Zhouqu county, Northwest China's Gansu province, which claimed thousands of lives in August 2010, started on Sunday, local authorities said.

Besides, 15 village roads, altogether 82 km long, inside Zhouqu county are included in the project, according to the spokesman.
Other constructions include a county bus station which covers an area of 1,500 square meters, a road administrative office building which covers an area of 3,500 square meters, and a county freight station which covers an area of 3,000 square meters.
The projects are expected to be completed and in operation by the end of October 2012, according to the spokesman.
