6.0-magnitude quake hits sea off northeast Taiwan

BEIJING - An earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter scale jolted the sea off northeast coast of Taiwan at 9:11 am Beijing Time on Saturday, the China Earthquake Networks Center said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 130 km, was initially determined to be at 25.3 degrees north latitude and 124.1 degrees east longitude, according to the center.
