A woman in the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, who was a victim of human trafficking three times in the past 22 years, has been reunited with her family with the help of local radio stations.

Pati Guli, 29, born to a family in Kuqa county, was trafficked for the first time when she was 7 years old. Between 1991 and 2000, she was resold twice until she met her current husband in Xinhe county in 2003.

The husband learned the woman's tragedy and decided to help her reunite with her family. They resorted to radio and TV stations for the search and finally her uncle learned about it when listening to the Aksu radio station.

She finally reunited with her parents last month.
