YINCHUAN - The 2011 international kite-flying festival will be held in Wuzhong city, Northwest China's Ningxia Hui autonomous region between April 29 and May 30.
Around 100 competitors from more than 16 countries and regions, including the United States, South Korea and Russia, will try their best to bring the trophy home. More than 1,000 kite-flying fans in Ningxia will also participate in the activity for fun.
With a history of 2,300 years, Chinese kite art has developed into a popular sport event, competing in terms of kite's shape, color and flying techniques.
