The third China Border Wildlife Guardian Award was unveiled in Beijing on May 8, 2011. 25 winners have been selected from forestry security, customs, the border army and nature reserves along the border areas of China.

Inaugurated by the Wildlife Conservation Society China Program in 2008, the annual award aims to give an incentive to people involved in wildlife law enforcement in China's border areas, and to honor those who have made great contributions to wildlife conservation through anti-poaching work and by stopping the cross-border wildlife trade.

All winners will receive top quality equipment. Some will also be granted access to a law-enforcement training program to be held in Yunnan province.
