Roof fall kills 3 miners

CHANGSHA - Three people were confirmed dead in a roof fall accident at a coal mine in central China's Hunan Province, local sources said late Monday.

The accident occurred at 3 pm Monday at Dingli Coal Mine in Jiahe County, trapping three workers who were conducting repair work in the shaft, said the spokesman with the county government.

By 6 pm, the bodies of the three had been recovered, and the cause of the accident is under investigation.
