E China serial explosions deaths rise to 4

FUZHOU, Jiangxi - Another man was reported dead in hospital after serial explosions in East China's Jiangxi province last week, bringing the death toll to four, including the suspect, local authorities said late Monday.

A 34-year-old worker at the local water conservancy bureau died despite medical efforts in hospital Sunday, said a spokesman with the Linchuan district of Fuzhou city.

By 11 pm Monday, there are four injured people who are still receiving treatment in hospital, one of them is in critical condition, according to the spokesman.

The explosions occurred at three different locations in Fuzhou between 9:18 am and 9:45 am last Thursday near the city's procuratorate office, the Linchuan district government office and the district's food and drug administration.

Qian Mingqi, a 52-year-old unemployed resident of Linchuan district, is suspected of triggering the explosions. Qian was found killed in one of the blasts.

The case in still under investigation.
