South China road accident kills 9

GUANGZHOU - The death toll of a road accident, which occurred Saturday in South China's Guangdong province, has risen to nine after a seriously injured person died in hospital, local authorities said on Sunday.

The injured person died at 9:50 pm Saturday after treatment failed, said a spokesman with the public security bureau of Guangdong's Huizhou city.

A trailer collided with a coach at around 3 pm Saturday on a highway in Huizhou, instantly killing eight people on the coach and injuring 22 others, four seriously.
