BOGOTA - Four Chinese workers were kidnapped by the rebel Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) in a southern province Wednesday afternoon, the Chinese embassy said.
The four Chinese from the local Emerald company, an affiliate of China's state-owned Sinochem in Colombia, and their driver were taken hostage by FARC members in Caqueta province when they were traveling in a truck, according to the embassy.
The driver was released later, said the embassy.
The Colombian military was searching for the four abducted Chinese.
