ASTANA-- Chinese President Hu Jintao began his meeting with Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev Monday afternoon, with a number of bilateral agreements expected to be signed.
Media reports said earlier that the two leaders will sign a joint declaration on bilateral tie, and related departments from both countries will sign cooperation agreements on environmental protection, currency and economy.
The Chinese leader will also attend the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in the capital of Kazakhstan, Astana, on June 15.
The SCO comprises China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. Iran, India, Mongolia and Pakistan hold observer status.
