Two staff killed in $8,000 bank robbery

Two employees have been killed during the robbery of a savings bank in Tianshui city of Northwest China's Gansu province on Monday morning, Xinhua News Agency reported.

The bandits entered the bank at 11:50 am, killing two employees before leaving with more than 53,000 yuan ($8,186) in cash. The police arrived on the scene eight minutes after the robbery.

A special joint team has been set up to hunt the suspects. The provincial public security bureau has also sent representatives to help solve the case.

A reward has been offered to anyone who can provide helpful clues.
