HARBIN - One person was killed and another was slightly injured in a fire that occurred on Saturday in a meat-processing plant in Harbin, the capital of Northeast China's Heilongjiang province.

The fire started at 8:20 am in a meat-processing plant owned by Shuanghui Beidahuang Food Co., Ltd., according to an official with the Harbin Economic-Technological Development zone, where the plant is located.
