Schedule of climbers

On July 22, 2011, five men, who met on popular Chinese photography website Xitek.com, set out for Siguniang Mountain (Four Girls Mountain) in Southwest China's Sichuan province for a ten-day hike destined to reach a 5,062-meter peak.


Here is the schedule:

July 23: Travel to Shuangqiaogou

July 24: Travel to Xiaogou, camping

July 25: Climb over Xiaogou and stay at Gaoyanwo

July 26: Climb over Changpinggou and stay at Changgou

July 27: Climb over Changgou

July 28: Travel to Chenjiagou

July 29: Climb over Dahuangfeng Mountain and travel to Haizigou

July 30: Travel to Hongshuigou

July 31: Hiking Bipenggou

August 1: Travel to Daogou

August 2: All the teammates meet at Wang Yaomei's House

August 3: Acclimatize to high latitude

August 4: Climb to 4,200 meters above sea level

August 5: Attempt to climb to 4,600 meters above sea level

August 6: Start out at 3 am and aim to arrive at the peak at 3 pm. Climb down at 8 pm and get back to 4,200 meters above sea level by 10 pm.

August 7-10: Time reserved for bad weather

August 11: Travel back to Wangyaomei's house

August 12: Travel to Chengdu, capital city of Southwest China's Sichuan province, and then head for Beijing
