NE China coal mine flooding leaves 1 dead, 5 trapped

HARBIN - A coal mine flooded in northeast Heilongjiang province Tuesday, leaving one miner dead and five others trapped underground, according to local authorities.
The flood occurred around 4:30 am in the city of Shuangyashan as 28 miners were working underground; 22 managed to escape, according to the local watchdog for work safety.
Rescue operation is continuing.
