URUMQI - One person was killed and 35 others injured when a coach rear-ended a truck in Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region early Sunday morning, said local police on Monday.
The coach was on its way from the city of Aksu to the region's capital Urumqi when it rear-ended a truck at 3:30 am Sunday on Korla-Kuqa expressway, said police of Mongolian autonomous prefecture of Bayingolin where the accident occurred.
Of the 36 people on board the coach, one was dead, six seriously injured and 29 suffered minor injuries. The two drivers of the coach were among the injured, police said.
Police are looking into the cause of the accident.
