A garbage collector has died after a fight with a student at China's most acclaimed film academy, the Beijing News reported.
The altercation at Beijing Film Academy is believed to have started after a student's car blocked a fire access route preventing the sanitary worker from collecting garbage.
The brawl started at around 3:08 pm on Monday near the female apartment building on the campus in the Haidian district of the city.
A photo taken minutes later shows the man, still wearing protective gloves, lying unconscious on the ground. A group of a dozen people are seen standing around his body.
A call to the emergency 120 line was made at 3:15 pm, but college officials say the man died on his way to hospital.
The dead man, surnamed Wang, was 39 years old and the only garbage collector working at the college.
Wang's body has been sent for medical examination and the student is being investigated by the police, the paper said.
The Beijing Film Academy is cradle of China's film industry responsible for teaching some of the country's best known film makers.
