Ji Siguang, 39, attacked a policeman and then took his gun on a street in Qiqihaer, Northeast China's Heilongjiang province on December 6, 1998, with Li and Liu as his accomplices. The police captured Li and Liu two days later, but failed to find Ji, who has been at large for the past thirteen years.
With the help of a whistleblower, the Qiqihaer police tracked him down in Jinhua city in Zhejiang province, and succeeded in catching him on Dec 7.
Ji, who had changed his name to Zhang Guofeng, confessed to his crime thirteen years previously. He said he had moved from city to city after running away and finally settled down in Jinhua where he started his acting career.
He has as appeared in a supporting role in a slew of TV dramas, with the most famous being the Lurk (Qian Fu) in 2008 where he played a secret service official.
