Drivers arrested in bus-truck collision in C China

ZHENGZHOU - The bus driver whose overloaded vehicle collided with a truck at around 8:50 am Tuesday and left two students dead in Central Henan province has been arrested, according to local police.
The bus, rented by Gucheng Middle School of Zhumadian city, rammed into a truck at a crossroad, killing two students at the scene and injuring 25 students and teachers - seven in critical condition.
The bus driver, Zhou Guozhong, was detained by local police immediately after the accident, and Chen Xinfeng, the truck driver, is also in police custody, accused of causing the accident.
According to police, the bus is designed to carry a maximum of 47 passengers but 66 were aboard when the accident occurred.
