BEIJING - The Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), one of the country's leading thinktanks, on Saturday launched its English website, with aims to "improve Chinese competitiveness in the field of social sciences".
The English channel of CASS website (www.cssn.cn/english) contains 35 columns including digest of published papers, opinions from researchers, conferences and research events, and links to major CASS research fellows.
The website also contains videos of interviews, including interviews of experts, dialogue between Chinese and foreign scholars, and speeches made by specialists at international forums.
The English channel was created to "spread the results of Chinese social sciences and academic studies and report in depth on international hot issues and problems in an academic, authoritative and knowlegeable fashion," said a statement published online.
The CASS launched it website on Jan 1.
