HANGZHOU - Investigations have shown that a drunk driver and an overloaded vehicle were the causes of a road accident that left five people dead and two injured early Friday morning in East China's Zhejiang province.
The accident happened at around 3:30 am in the city of Haining on a road linking the provincial capital of Hangzhou with Shanghai, when a five-seat sedan loaded with seven people hit a roadside tree and overturned, said the police in Haining.
The injured, including the driver, were rushed to a local hospital. The driver was later arrested for drunk driving.
