BEIJING - The Dongfeng Motor Company Ltd will recall 8,818 Tiida sedans starting March 20, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) said Thursday.
The vehicles, produced between April 19 and December 28 in 2011, are being recalled because of a problem with the vehicles' fuel pressure transmitters, the AQSIQ said in a statement on its website.
The defect could cause fuel leaks, leading to possible safety risks, the statement said.
The automaker has promised to repair all defective vehicles and eliminate any possible risks.
