GUIYANG - Two miners are missing after a landslide occurred in a gravel pit in Southwest China's Guizhou province Saturday, local authorities said.
The accident took place at noon in a gravel pit near a village in Huishui county of Qiannan prefecture, a county government spokesman said.
Two miners are believed to have been buried in the landslide but rescuers have been unable to find them, the spokesman said.
The pit is owned by a local construction materials company and is legally licensed to operate, he added.
