Mainland, Taiwan police bust telecom fraud group

BEIJING - Fifty-three suspects from the Chinese mainland who were suspected to be involved in a major transnational telecom fraud group were escorted from Thailand to Beijing Thursday.

Police of the mainland and Taiwan on Wednesday busted the group with the help of police in six foreign countries, including Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, and Fiji, sources said.
