3 dead, 2 injured after car collision in S China

SHENZHEN - Three people were killed and another two were slightly injured after a car-cab collision early Saturday morning in Shenzhen, southern China's Guangdong province, local police said.

At around 3:08 am, a car collided with two cabs on a road section in urban area of the southern city. Three people died on the spot in one of the cab, which caught fire after collision, said the traffic police.

Initial investigation found drunken driving and speeding of the car driver, who was trying to overtake the two cabs when the accident occurred.

Further investigation is underway.
