BEIJING - China on Friday made clear its stance at the upcoming United Nations (UN) Conference on Sustainable Development and called for more support from developed countries.
In a report themed on sustainable development released on Friday, China said the UN conference should promise full implementation of the consensus reached at the 1992 UN Conference on Environment and Development in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and the 2002 World Summit on Sustainable Development in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The conference should clarify implementation measures from developed countries to offer financial support, technology transfer and capability construction facilitation efforts to developing countries, the report said.
The conference will be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on June 20 to June 22.
