BEIJING - Chinese navy drills in the west Pacific were in accordance with international laws and practices, a military spokesman said on Thursday.
Defense Ministry spokesman Geng Yansheng made the remarks at a press briefing.
Geng said all countries have the freedom and right to navigate through the waters concerned in the western Pacific Ocean.
"The annual drill by China's fleet in the west Pacific is not aimed at any specific country or target and is in accordance with related international laws and practices," he said.
