A man has been left blind after being subjected to a horrific attack in which calcium oxide, known as quick lime, and cement was poured into his eyes, Henan Business News reported on Wednesday.
The man surnamed Huang, 63, said his eyes were filled with quick lime and cement after he was beat up and then dragged to a mountain near his home on July 5.
A family feud is believed to be the cause of the attack.
The doctor said Huang's eyeballs need to be removed without delay to avoid a threat to his life.
Police from Miyang county said those suspected of carrying out the attack were arrested on Tuesday.
