Tibetan medicine is a treasured asset

Tibetan medicine has been highly developed and welcomed by local farmers and herdsmen due to its low cost and curing effect in the Gannan Tibet autonomous region, Northwest China's Gansu province.

The traditional Ganan Tibetan medicine was made into a national intangible cultural heritage five years ago, protected by the only institution, Luqu Tibetan hospital in Gansu province. The hospital uses Tibetan medicine to cure local farmers and herdsmen with different treatments including medicated baths and fire-cup method. [Photo/Xinhua]
