Seven die in Jingtai Expressway accidents

Seven people were killed on Monday after a series of accidents on East China's Jingtai Expressway due to heavy fog, Xinhua News Agency reported.

Emergency services were called to seven separate incidents, the first at 6:45 am, in Tai'an, Shandong province. One person died and 11 were injured.

Fifteen accidents also happened on another section of the road in Ningyang, claiming a total of six lives and leaving 24 injured.

All rescue and cleanup missions on the expressway had been completed as of Monday evening, and the traffic situation had returned to normal, Xinhua reported.
