China Daily launches new edition of news app

New Outlook, New Experience -- China Daily launches a new edition of its popular news app.

China Daily launched the 3.0 edition of its news app for iPhone and Android users on Dec 14. With an interface reflecting an international style, the new app integrates a wide range of content from China Daily's newspapers and the China Daily website, including graphics, photos and videos. Other notable features include pop-up news, various special news sections and customized function settings.

As a news product, the 3.0 edition app has news, culture, business, life and opinion sections, and aims to tell Chinese stories from an international perspective, according to Wang Nan, editor of China Daily's mobile section.

In order to satisfy individual requirements, the updated version makes it possible for users to change column orders and font sizes freely, and allows them to turn on or off the columns at will. To help save online time, users can download and then read the content offline.

China Daily has so far launched news apps, mobile phone news and WAP websites, with a total of 14 mobile products that focus on news, English learning, culture and travel. These products aim to help overseas users better understand China.

China Daily News App is available on virtually any smartphone or handheld device.
