Conclusion
The ideology of democracy and a republic was rooted in China after the success of the Revolution of 1911, which evoked awareness of the masses and further promoted ideological emancipation. It opened the door for progressive ideas to enter China. About 100 years later, looking back at the earth-shaking historic course of the Revolution of 1911, we solemnly remember the overseas Chinese and other revolutionary forerunners who have made unremitting efforts and sacrificed themselves in the cause of national emancipation and revival.
The Revolution of 1911 could never have succeeded without the effort of overseas Chinese. The great contributions they've made to the progress and prosperity of China still affect the whole nation. History will not forget them, and neither will the whole Chinese nation. By saying "Overseas Chinese are the mother of revolution," Sun Yat-sen summarized and highly spoke of the role overseas Chinese played in the Revolution of 1911.
Recalling the past in the light of the present, we can comfort them by saying that the poor and weak old China is gone, and people's lives have undergone tremendous changes. The goal of national modernization is being achieved step by step and the prospect of national rejuvenation is near in the future.
At the 100th anniversary of the Revolution of 1911, we commemorate Sun Yat-sen, overseas Chinese and other revolutionary forerunners in the hopes of encouraging the following generations to continuously strive for the cause of national rejuvenation by maintaining the spirit of "universal love" and "the world as a commonwealth shared by all" advocated by Sun Yat-sen and his belief that "the revolution is not yet completed. Comrades, you must carry on!"
