BEIJING - Xi Jinping, the leader of China's ruling Communist Party of China (CPC), has called on procuratorial, judicial and public security organs to fight against injustice and corruption to ensure "justice in each judicial case".

Xi, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, urged efforts to "firmly oppose injustice in law enforcement and judicial corruption" in a written instruction to the national political and legal work conference held Monday.

Procuratorial, judicial and public security organs "should strive to ensure the public have justice in each judicial case and socialism with Chinese characteristics is developed smoothly in a harmonious and stable social environment", he said.

Xi asked the organs to deepen reform of the country's judicial system, strictly supervise the police and improve law enforcement capabilities in order to make the public feel safe and satisfied, as well as win public trust.

The organs play a very important role in safeguarding people's peaceful lives, economic and social development, national security, and social stability, said Xi.

The organs should respond to public aspirations of social security, judicial justice and protection of rights and interests and make all-out efforts to build a peaceful China which is governed by law, he added.
