Li Xueyong re-elected Jiangsu governor

NANJING - Li Xueyong was re-elected governor of East China's Jiangsu province on Friday during the first session of the 12th provincial People's Congress.

Li, born in 1950, is a native of the city of Shijiazhuang in North China's Hebei province. He has served as Jiangsu's governor since February 2011.

Li previously served as deputy minister of science and technology from 1998 to 2010. His political career in Jiangsu began in December 2010.
