ZHENGZHOU - Another suspect in the case of a deadly expressway bridge collapse in Central China's Henan province last week has been caught by police, local authorities announced on Tuesday.

Tang Zhensheng, 44, a native from neighboring Hebei province, was apprehended in Guangshan county, Xinyang city, on Monday morning, an official of the Guangshan county public security bureau said.

A truck explosion caused the bridge to collapse on Friday morning in Mianchi county in the city of Sanmenxia, killing 10 people and injuring 11 more. The vehicle contained about 600 large packages of fireworks.

According to the police, Tang was the owner of the fireworks which were reported to be banned.

Their illegal production, loading and transportation were to blame for the accident, the investigation has found.

The truck transported the fireworks in the name of daily commodities, it found.

Police have detained four people from the fireworks producer in Pucheng county of Northwest China's Shaanxi province and the haulage company that owned the truck.
