Kraft offers donation to quake victims
Kraft Foods China have contacted authorities in Ya’an to identify the needs of quake victims and organized a donation of 7,075 boxes of biscuits and other products worth 1.42 million yuan ($227,000) from the company’s warehouses in Chengdu and Shanghai.
The first batch of relief goods, including 3,436 boxes of biscuits were handed over to Lushan county’s Civil Affairs Bureau on Sunday. The second batch of relief goods left Shanghai on Sunday and is expected to arrive in Chengdu on Tuesday.
“We want to express our deepest sympathy and condolences to the people affected by the quake. And we sincerely hope our relief goods will help to alleviate their needs,” said Shawn Warren, president of Kraft Foods China.
