Wuhan bus driver suspected of taking drugs
A bus driver suspected of taking drugs while working is under investigation, said police in Wuhan, capital of Hubei province, on Friday.
A micro blog posting, including six photos, claimed that the driver, surnamed Zhang, was under the influence of drugs while driving his bus.
China News Service reported that police found the driver at noon in a bus terminal, and a urine analysis showed a positive result, meaning that he had taken drugs within 72 hours.
Police said further investigations are needed on whether he used drugs at work. Police are also investigating how much narcotics he took and where he got the drugs.
The investigation results will be made public, police said.
In China, people taking drugs can be held in detox facilities for three to six months. Also, people possessing more than a kilogram of opium or over 50 grams of heroin or methamphetamines can be sentenced to life in prison.
