Internet users will soon have to start paying in order to use China's major music websites, an insider from Xiami, a music website said on June 3, 2013, Beijing Times reported

Starting from June 5, major music websites including Xiami, Baidu music, QQ music, Kugou, Duomi and Kuwo will start a two- month pilot program charging for music services including downloading music by numbers and by month. All music services will be charged a fee within two months.

A staffer from Warner Music said the music providers have always supported online music charging, which is to show more respect to the music composers. And they are working on it diligently.
