One killed in forced demolition
ZHENGZHOU - One villager was killed and another three were injured in a confrontation caused by a forced demolition in central China's Henan Province on Monday afternoon, local authorities said.
The incident happened at Zhangtong Village, Xincun Town, Xinzheng City at around 3:40 p.m. when a demolition crew had conflicts with villagers, according to a municipal government official.
One villager died in the conflict and three others were injured. Angry villagers petitioned at the township government venue and blocked the No.107 National Highway after that.
The cause of the incident is under investigation.
