Suspected food posioning sickens 80 in Shaanxi

XI'AN - More than 80 villagers from northwest China's Shaanxi province were hospitalized on Saturday night over possible food poisoning, local authorities said.

The villagers had symptoms of headache and vomiting at about 7 pm after attending a temple gathering at Shizi village, Zichang county, according to the county's publicity department.

The cause of the incident is under investigation.
