Retracing Mao Zedong's steps

Members of major Chinese Web media took park in an awareness campaign launched by Hunan Daily to retrace Mao Zedong's experience in his early years to mark Mao's 120th birthday.

They set out on the journey on foot on July 8, 2013, visiting historical sites of the Chinese Communist Party and Mao's hometown- Shaoshan in Central China's Hunan province.

More than 20 reporters from Hunan Daily, People.com.cn, Xinhuanet.com, Chinadaily.com.cn, qq.com, Sina.com and Sohu.com took part.
